I finally got to meet Taylor yesterday. It was the last thing I expected to happen but I’m so incredibly happy. I won’t ever forget it and she is the absolute sweetest person. Thank you to everybody who left me wonderful messages. Taylor fans are the best :) Anyways, here’s my story of what happened yesterday!

I found out about Taylor attending the premiere of ‘Ethel’ in Sundance on Thursday and I freaked out because it was in Park City. Taylor was going to be in Utah. I live in the Salt Lake area and that’s about 45 minutes to an hour away from there. The show was going to start at 2 pm on Friday and I knew that I had to make a decision. I originally had a busy day already, 2 classes to attend and work afterwards. I decided to cancel literally every plan that I had and to take this huge chance of possibly getting to meet Taylor.

On Friday morning, I drove up to Park City and got there around noon. I met up with Ceci (youmakemecrazier.tumblr.com) and we had quite an adventure just trying to find the place! haha but eventually it all worked out and we took a shuttle to the theatre. When we got there, we were near the public entrance area and didn’t really see any other Taylor fans. We talked to this really nice security guy and asked him if he’d seen Taylor already. He said he hadn’t, but thought that she might’ve already arrived. That really got me worried. But then we saw this Taylor fan looking at the poster that Ceci was holding and she was with her brother and her dad. Overheard them talking about how there was a private entrance and that we should stand there because there were other fans there holding the vogue magazine! So we followed them and get to the back entrance area and I immediately see one of Taylor’s bodyguards and knew that we were in the right place and that this could actually happen! We talked to some of the other fans (it was surprisingly a pretty small group of fans, maybe about 15 people ish) and we’re all just excited and freak out every time a car pulls up haha we got to see the Kennedy’s though and that was pretty cool. A couple more minutes go by, and it’s actually not freezing outside….which is surprising because it’s Utah weather and it’s usually really cold! I look over at the bodyguard and he’s talking on a phone or headset or something. I look further into the parking lot and I see Paula (Taylor’s publicist) and knew that Taylor was really close! A white car pulls up and Taylor comes out and we all just start screaming!

She starts walking in our direction and at this point I’m shaking because I can’t believe it’s happening and that Taylor is standing so close to me! She is incredibly sweet and comes over and takes pictures and signs for us. And then she walks over to me. I completely lost it. I couldn’t say anything other than “I love you” and I asked for a picture. She grabbed my phone and gave it to her security guard to take. After the picture, I thanked her. I was holding the speak now cd and completely forgot about it. But I look down and she’s already signing it! She’s absolutely gorgeous! I loved her outfit she was wearing. The coat was really really soft and I loved hearing her talk! Her voice is so pretty. She’s making her way through the crowd and trying to take pictures with as many people as she can. There was a lot of pushing and it was insane. But Ceci got her picture too and Taylor got to see her poster that she made! She signed that as well! She moved to another part of the group and then had to go into the theatre. I screamed out “I love you”, in an obnoxious way but I didn’t even care! Here are some more pictures. Afterwards, we are all just so in shock that it actually happened! We kept saying “We just met Taylor Swift!!!” Did that just happen? I couldn’t even believe it happened. That somehow we just were in the right place at the right time and that it actually worked. I finally got to meet Taylor. After 5 years of wanting this, it finally happened. And it was more than I could’ve ever imagined. I was with an incredible friend, one who I would’ve never met if it hadn’t been for Taylor. Getting to meet the one person we admire the most, together, is something I’ll never forget. I had the most amazing day and I couldn’t stop smiling. I’m STILL smiling about it. Taylor has changed my life in so many ways and the fact that I got to thank her and meet her is something I’ve always wanted. I got my picture with her. I will cherish that forever. I never expected this to happen and I’m so happy that I took that chance.
